Nozzle Lock

Nozzle Lock

The main valve of the fire hose reel must be sealed to prevent improper use. However, in public buildings such as schools and hospitals, it is desirable to add an additional barrier to avoid abuse. If only the main valve is sealed, the nozzle can still be opened and water will run out of the hose.

The new Saval nozzle lock has been developed for this purpose. It replaces the suspension hook; the nozzle is placed in the holder and the lid is closed and sealed. However, the use in case of fire remains just as simple.

The owner or administrator of the installation must check monthly that this seal is still in tact. The seal must be easy to break so that the reel is immediately available for use. Near the hose reel, a warning sign must be placed stating that the fire hose reel can only be used in case of fire.
