SK InerFlex® extinguishing gas system

SK InerFlex® extinguishing gas systems suppress oxygen from the enclosed space, so that the oxygen level drops and the combustion stops. These systems are designed to achieve the required oxygen level in 60 seconds or less.

Where can a SK InerFlex® extinguishing gas system be applied?

SK InerFlex® extinguishing gas systems are designed to protect manned and unmanned areas containing valuable equipment, such as control rooms, server rooms, cable shafts and archives. These systems are very suitable for fires that develop slowly. The extinguishing gas is not electrically conductive, non-corrosive and leaves no particles or other residue.

The cylinders are filled with a mixture of 50% argon and 50% nitrogen to a pressure of 300 bar at 15 ° C. The extinguishing gas is vented through a flexible opening valve, which allows smaller diameter pipes and smaller overpressure facilities to be used.

Environment and health

SK InerFlex® operates as soon as the oxygen level in the enclosed area drops to 15% or less depending on the fuel. These concentrations are not harmful to humans in case of a short period of time. This means more time for a safe evacuation. The extinguishing gas does not damage environment. Therefore, SK InerFlex® is the most environmentally friendly extinguishing agent that is available.
