FoamTronic FCV (Flow Control Valve) is an electronic foam mixing system that mixes foam concentrate and water very accurately based on the actual extinguishing water requirements of the system. This is achieved by continuously monitoring the extinguishing water and foam concentrate flow rates using electromagnetic flow meters and dynamic control of the concentrate control valve.
The accuracy and stability of the system are based on a combination of specially selected components and a unique control system. The control system records all process values and alarms during operation or testing. These can be downloaded for diagnosis and data analysis.
An additional advantage is that there is no pressure loss in the fire water piping. This means that fire water piping can often be smaller diameter compared to conventional mechanical foam proportioning systems.
The FoamTronic FCV can be installed close to the foam storage or in remote locations where multiple FoamTronic systems can be used on site using a centralised foam storage system, for example a FoamTronic pressure tank system.
We are proud to announce that our FoamTronic FCV system is FM approved.

This enables us to offer a complete solution to customers which are subject to FM certification requirements. We have a wide range of water flow rates available, enabling us to provide even the smallest system with a suitable solution.

Feel free to contact us to discuss the possibilities. Larger and smaller flow rates are available (upon request) outside the FM approved range.
With FoamTronic FCV, you can regularly test system performance without mixing firefighting foam concentrate and water. This prevents environmental pollution and unnecessary consumption of expensive firefighting foam concentrate.
The FoamTronic test procedure is an exact simulation of actual conditions. During this test, the injection point to the fire water system is isolated and the foam supply is diverted via the test outlet, which is equipped with a pressure sustaining valve. The water flow is started and the FoamTronic system regulates the mixing ratio. The firefighting foam concentrate is collected in a clean IBC or mobile tanker. The foam concentrate is pumped back into the firefighting foam storage tank after the test. This tests the full operation of the FoamTronic® system without consuming firefighting foam concentrate. The entire test procedure is therefore economical and environmentally friendly.
Foam mixing systems depend on the accuracy of the mixing ratio of foam concentrate to water. Thanks to the selection of highly accurate instrumentation and an industrial flow control valve, it is possible to achieve a very accurate mixing ratio. With FoamTronic technology, this accuracy can be controlled and automatically adjusted to changes in system requirements. The FoamTronic FCV can create two pre-set different mixing ratios, depending on the activation command received by the system.
The FoamTronic FCV system works with any firefighting foam concentrate available on the market. This is regardless of the desired mixing ratio, viscosity or pseudoplastic properties of (PFAS-free) firefighting foam concentrates.
It is possible to change the manufacturer, type and/or viscosity of the firefighting foam concentrate at a later date.
FoamTronic FCV is designed for the most demanding environments. The FoamTronic system comes with high-quality components. These are fully assembled and tested in our factory. The cabinet is made of stainless steel and powder coated to ensure maximum corrosion protection.
The FoamTronic FCV is available with a 24V battery backup system. This ensures that the system continues to operate in the event of a power failure or outage.
Two FoamTronic FCV systems can be connected in a redundant configuration. In the unlikely event that the primary FoamTronic FCV system fails to function optimally, the other takes over seamlessly.

To guarantee reliability, every component of the FoamTronic FCV features continuous signal monitoring and self-diagnosis of performance. In addition, the FoamTronic flow control valve is automatically tested on a daily basis. The operation of the non-return valve between the injection point and the FoamTronic flow control valve is also continuously monitored for leaks.
Thanks to the self-diagnostics, you can be confident that the system is fully operational and will activate when needed. If a malfunction does occur, the FoamTronic sends a fault signal to your system.

The FoamTronic FCV is optionally available with cabinet heating and insulation.
The user-friendly interface is available via the optional HMI.
For applications where a large amount of foam concentrate is required at multiple locations, such as at tank terminals, a FoamTronic FCV in combination with a pressure tank is the perfect solution. The firefighting foam concentrate is stored in a stainless steel pressure tank. In the event of a fire, nitrogen cylinders are activated. The pressure of the cylinders is reduced to the desired working pressure for the firefighting foam system by means of pressure control valves. The nitrogen pushes the foam concentrate to the FoamTronic FCV.
